Key Ingredients

Triple-Sourced 10% vitamin C:

Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate:
A stable sodium salt of ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) helps brighten skin by targeting melanin + damaging free radicals. Improves intensity of age spots and helps to increase the feel of firmness.

Ascorbyl Glucoside:
A highly stabilized vitamin C derivative with a prolonged release period to target melanin and improve the appearance of hyperpigmentation, wrinkles and roughness. Along with sodium ascorbyl phosphate, it helps support collagen performance.

Lactobacillus/Acerola Cherry Ferment:
A natural alternative source of vitamin C. This super fruit has a vitamin C content 65x greater than an orange, and has the highest antioxidant activity level of fruits with over 150 phyto-nutrients + a multitude of minerals to brighten and promote radiance.

3% Niacinamide: To spot target hyperpigmentation, irregular discoloration and inhibit PIH and melasma.

Tranexamic Acid: A synthetic ingredient derived from the amino acid lysine that is shown to suppress melanogenesis (production of melanin). Suitable for all skin types, it can help reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation and brighten dark spots.

Phenylethyl Resorcinol: Nature-inspired, derived from a powerful molecule naturally occurring in pine trees. Acting at the source of skin pigmentation, it's clinically proven to brighten skin tone, treat uneven skin, and reduce UV-induced pigmentation.

How does Bioelements test vc10 dark spot solution?

We test in the following ways:

Clinical Measurement Study - Bioelements commissioned 3rd party testing in order to validate and quantify benefits (example: “67% saw lighter dark spots”). This strict test was clinically measured via spectrophotometer in a 2-week study of 15 participants (ages 41–65, Fitzpatrick II–V) with mild to moderate facial hyperpigmentation, applying vc10 dark spot solution twice a day.

What is a spectrophotometer? This scientific instrument measures how much light is absorbed or reflected at specific wavelengths. it’s clinically used to assess changes in skin pigmentation, like dark spots and discoloration. this scientific tool provides objective, numerical data, so you can clearly see if a formula helps fade dark spots over time. when used in a clinical study, a spectrophotometer can detect small improvements in dark spots that aren’t always visible to the eye, prove that a formula is working by showing measurable changes in brightness or melanin, and provide real scientific data.

Independent Ingredient Testing - We cite independent clinical evaluations, and clinical in-vitro (within a controlled environment/lab), and in-vivo (human) testing to validate the claims of ingredients. These tests are not conducted or commissioned by Bioelements – they are provided to us by the ingredient source.

RIPT, Dermatologist Tests for Safety + Efficacy - We follow strict formula quality control via stability and clinical testing to ensure effectiveness and optimum performance. Tests include human repeat patch tests (RIPT), microbial change, pH testing, viscosity, plus visual, odor and tactile integrity. We also conduct dermatologist testing.

We never test on animals.
